I’ve always loved the way Film looked yet never knew what it truly was. It wasn’t until I started to shoot Film myself in September 2021 and fell in love with the process. Becoming a Film Photographer has been the best investment I’ve made in my Business and for my Artistic Soul.
Becoming a Film Photographer has changed my outlook on Photography. Not only does it allow us to be more creative. Our lovely couples benefit from some very authentic and intentional imagery.
When it comes to shooting on a Film camera, you don’t get a retake, to review the image or even really know if you nailed the shot. That’s the beauty about film, is living in the moment of the shot.
Although Film does take a longer process when it comes to shipping it to the lab and developing cost, I couldn’t see my work any other way. Film helps us create the intentional timeless true tones that you see in our work.
This medium of Photography helps us think through every shot. The choice of which film stock to pick in the specific light situation we are in. The way we meter for the light with our light meter to rating the film stock. All of those things are intentional to make the most magical photos you see when it comes to film.
