All About Our Client Closet Donna & Matthew Photography

You might of heard us talk about our client closet time and time again. But you’re probably wondering what exactly is a client closet? I’m here to break down all the FAQ about our client closet and how we are offering it to all our amazing couples for their upcoming sessions with us.

What is a client closet?

Donna came up with the idea after hearing about the stress of finding the perfect dress for a photo shoot. What better way to take that stress of planning away from our couple’s then to offer a variety of gowns in all sizes and style for our couples convenient? Every dress was handpicked with the thought of every body shape and size. Donna’s goal was to have dresses that makes our client feel confident, comfortable and that flatters everyone in photos. The client closet is an all inclusive complimentary service for all our couples looking for ethereal, elegant and romantic gowns.

How does it work?

It’s pretty simple actually. First decide if you think you’ll want a fitting for the gown or if you just want us to bring it for the session. With fittings, Donna will open her calendar for clients to come into our home to try on the gowns. But if you already know which gown speaks to your soul, let her know and she can bring it to the session. The plus side is we also have a portable changing tent where clients can change during the session. Easy and convenient for our couples.

What sizes are the gowns?

Majority of the gowns are either Small – Large. We find that since the fabric of these gowns are flexible, some dresses can fit multiple sizes. That’s exactly what we wanted. Gowns that can fit a variety of sizes while still giving the client comfortability and beauty. We would love to add more size ranges to our client closet if we find the demand from our clients in those sizes.

Will you be adding more colors and textures?

Yes! We would love to keep building our client closet to add more color ranges and sizes. Our dresses are neutral in creamy white tones with some pastel pink and dusty blue. Eventually we would love to add more jeweled tone colors for the fall season that still compliments are timeless style. A client closet takes time to build as we only want to provide the best high quality and timeless dresses for our couples. Soon we will be introducing more luxury gowns such as tulle, chiffon and embellished fabrics. These texture gowns paired with the golden hour light makes for a romantic ethereal photo and you know that’s what we’re all about!

Is there options for men and children?

Currently we only offer a client closet to all the ladies or people who want to wear dresses. We haven’t found a demand from our guys wanting to rent out wardrobe. And since we aren’t typically family photographers as we only take on a few a year, we don’t offer children clothing just yet. We are definitely considering outfits for the little ones but for now we just offer dresses for the ladies.

What other things do you rent out?

We are building our accessory collection to pair with your gown in every session. We currently have a few hats in our collection available for your session along with crowns coming soon! For bridals we have a white and black cathedral length veil.
