So I’m a little late on blogging this personal session, but I’m so glad I’m able to share it now. Matt took my family’s first session! My mom has been begging for photos for a long time, even way before I became a professional photographer. But I’m so glad it was delayed and we were able to do these photos because it’s even more special to me that I was able to give her this gift. You never really think about photography being a gift until you’re able to give it to your own loved one.
These were taken back in the beginning of 2020 and at the end of Winter. That’s why my family decided on long sleeves and fall colors. They really wanted too wear colors to match the season and what made them feel comfortable. Since giving them that option, my mom decided to wear her beautiful traditional Cambodian clothes!
I never realized how much we needed these family photos! As I got home and started pulling up the images to create the gallery for my mom, my heart was filled with extreme joy. I loved that we were able to get all my family together for this one special moment for her. We all live in different cities or a different part of town, so owe hardly ever visit one another unless of a holiday. So the fact that every single sibling pulled through for this family session means so much.
Even my little niece and nephew joined the crew and I was able to grab the cutest little sibling shots for my sister. My parents were able to have photos of all their kids grown up individually.
