The Arizona Cactus Garden was the perfect setting for Wenchi and Nick’s engagement session. Nestled in Stanford, California, this unique garden showcases a variety of desert plants, creating a stunning contrast against the couple’s elegant and classic style. Wenchi and Nick wanted a session that felt timeless, and we worked together to bring that vision to life.
From our first phone call, I knew they would be a dream to work with. They are kind, easygoing, and value the beauty of natural moments. While they admitted to feeling a little shy in front of the camera, I guided them with posing and direction to help them feel comfortable. Capturing their love in a way that felt authentic was my top priority.
For the first part of their session, we visited Pulgas Water Temple, a breathtaking spot with European-inspired architecture and a serene atmosphere. Wenchi wore her traditional attire, embracing the elegance of the location. The soft light filtering through the trees added a romantic touch to their portraits.
As we transitioned to the Arizona Cactus Garden, they changed into a more relaxed yet polished look. The golden-hour light illuminated the cacti, creating a dreamy backdrop. This garden, with its desert charm and historic appeal, offered a perfect contrast to their first location. Wenchi and Nick’s connection was undeniable, and every frame captured their love in an effortless way.
It was nice to hear how they met. They connected through an online dating app, only to realize they had been attending the same school all along.
They complement each other so well, and I’m excited to see where their journey takes them. It was an honor to capture this chapter of their love story.
Then you’ll love to see this vintage and classic Engagement session at the Filoli Gardens!
