We’d love to take the time to showcase our 2020 maternity clients.
If you’ve been following since 2019, you would know that we started as Maternity and Lifestyle Photographers. It brought us much joy knowing that we were serving glowing mamas and empowering them to feel beautiful. In true Donna and Matthew fashion, we love to encourage our maternity clients to go all out with their maternity photos. After all, every pregnancy is different and special.
In order to prepare our moms to be, we send them a digital magazine style guide. This style guide is fill with so much tips, tricks and information that all our clients rave about it! You can find things from what style of clothing fits the best, how to decide on your color tones, location and time of day for the best quality photos and so much more.
Here are a few examples of the color tones that we love. The muted soft colors pairs well with our light and airy style that you know and love.
It’s no secret here. When you’re pregnant, you’re growing, in places you wouldn’t have thought. So let’s talk about what dresses compliments every body shape and size. Flowy dresses are your best friend. Not only does it flatters the body very well, it also looks amazing on camera with all the movement the dress provides. And if we’re being honest we all have insecurities. If arms are one of those insecurities, long sleeves are your go to (along with many other tricks we do during your session!)
You may also know, we love when clients make sessions their own! You can include things such as a beautiful spring bouquet, hats or hair accessories, jewelry and even things like having a picnic during your session. We love it when you do and/or bring things that’s true to you. Don’t be afraid to reach out and let us know your thoughts. Let’s brainstorm what we could include in your next session with us! (:
Locations are one of the main factors to your maternity session. Let’s pick a location that speaks to your heart and relationship. You love the beach? Let’s head to the coast. Open fields and rolling mountains? We got you, we love those views too! You are in love with the European style with white concrete walls of some sort? We will find a location that matches your vibe. Whatever the location, we love to travel!
We’re so thankful for all of our 2020 Maternity couples that we were able to serve and love. Getting to know each and everyone of you was such a blessing in 2020, more than you’ll ever know. We know 2020 was such a tough year, but you all made so much easier to get through that difficult time. We’re so honored to have been a part of capturing such a special blessing in your life.
