Jacque and Chris River Mill Wedding was beautiful in so many ways. First off, this venue was absolutely gorgeous. There were lush green gardens everywhere with the cutest fountains and art statues. The string lights hung everywhere made me feel like I was in the game of Animal Crossing (my gamer self coming out here!) The reception space was also something to talk about. It had it grand castle feel throughout and felt like a magical place to get married.
As many of you know, I love first looks. It’s one of my favorite moments of a wedding day. One reason being the sweet love we witness along with all the added benefits for the timeline. (Newly couples, ask me about the first look timeline!) This first look was different. It was filled with so many emotions. Jacque cried moments before, during and after. She was excited and nervous to see Chris for the first time and happy to be marrying her best friend.
There’s a little myth that says first looks takes away the joy and feelings of the aisle moment. Which is way far from the truth. Although Jacque about bawled her eyes out during the first look, she did as well during the ceremony. The emotions and the moment are what you make of it.
What was important to us was that Jacque & Chris had an intimate time together to enjoy each other’s company. To experience their wedding day together. It’s important to not lose sight about marriage. It’s partnership, communication and sharing a life together. Which ultimately is the reason for weddings, the celebration of your love. So yes, spend as much time together as you can during your wedding. We encourage it. We’re happy Jacque and Chris did and enjoyed the experience together.
